Čedomir Vasić je rođen u Beogradu 1948. godine. Godine 1971. diplomirao je, a 1973. magistrirao na slikarskom odseku Akademije za likovne umetnosti u Beogradu. Između 1975. i 1976. bio je stipendista Fulbrajtovog programa na Kalifornijskom univerzitetu u Santa Barbari i Los Anđelesu, gde je studirao video kod prof. Micurua Kataoke i kompjutersku umetnost kod prof. Džona Vitnija. Od 1969. kada prvi put izlaže, izlagao je na mnogim izložbama u zemlji i inostranstvu. Od 1976. bavi se videom kao izražajnim sredstvom (trake, instalacije, ambijenti). Pokrenuo slikanje murala u Beogradu 1983. i ostvario veći broj dela na javnim mestima. Objavljuje stručne i teorijske radove iz oblasti likovnih umetnosti od 1973. godine. Od 1975. je profesor na Fakultetu likovnih umetnosti u Beogradu, od 1984. predaje Likovnu kulturu na Fakultetu dramskih umetnosti u Beogradu. Čedomir Vasić (Belgrade, 1948) obtained his BFA in 1971 and MFA in 1973 at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Fulbright Grant at the University of California, Santa Barbara & Los Angeles 1975/76. Studied video with Prof. Mitsuru Kataoka and computer art with Prof. John Whitney at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1976. Practicing artist, working in fields of painting, graphic art, video and media arts. Exhibited extensively in country and abroad since 1969. In 1976 started using video as an art medium (tape, installation, environment). From 1983 initiated mural painting in Belgrade, and accomplished a number of works for public spaces. Teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade since 1975, now as Professor of Painting and Drawing. From 1984 teaches Visual culture at the Faculty of Drama, and since 2001 Polymedia art at the Interdisciplinary studies at the University of Arts. Member of the Association of the Serbian Artists since 1972. Writings on Visual Arts since 1973.
